Hurricane Melissa has left many in our community facing hardship. The Lupus Foundation of Jamaica (LFJ) stands with our Lupus Warriors through this difficult time. Persons living with lupus are especially vulnerable when access to medical care, medication, or daily essentials is disrupted.

Through this initiative, LFJ aims to provide:

• Crisis Counselling & Emotional Support – from trained counsellors and social workers
• Case Management & Referrals – help identifying available assistance and navigating agencies
• Medical Guidance & Advice – access to LFJ-affiliated medical specialists who can provide support or guidance for those unable to reach their lupus doctors directly
• Material Support – care packages containing:
• •  Non-perishable, ready-to-eat food (canned fish/beans, crackers, etc.)
  •  Toiletries & feminine hygiene products
  •   Medicines (hydroxychloroquine, paracetamol)
  •   Solar or battery lamps
  •   Sun-protective items (hats, sunscreen)
  •   Stationery (notebooks, pens, resealable bags)
