Some tips for joining the video meeting:

  • If you have never used Zoom before you will be prompted to download the software
  • You do not have to have a Zoom account to participate in the meeting
  • If you are new to Zoom we recommend testing the link beforehand to try the different features
  • We recommend using on wi-fi for a consistent experience but mobile data is adequate for most
  • opportunity will be available for questions from participants at the appointed times using voice or text

  • You can view Annual and Financial Reports on our Website (live link) once posted prior to the meeting OR 
  • follow along during the meeting via the document-share feature on Zoom 

Electronic Voting

  • Voting is easy and can be done online on our Website
  • You can vote for 
    • Nominees to our Executive Board (Please see list of nominees below)
    • any other questions being put to the general membership for a vote.  
  • The results will be published during the meeting after voting has been completed.
  • Electronic voting will open on Wed March 31, 2020 @ 8:00 am and will close on Thursday April 2, 2020 @ 7 pm  local time.
    • We recommend testing your log-in and use of features early within the window of voting to make sure you have no technical issues.  If you are having difficulty, please contact us right away, preferably at least 1 hour prior to the meeting.

  • Please remember we will only be voting for our Board Members who are providing leadership and oversight.  However we very much need Volunteers to serve on Committees or Teams as follows:

 that are critical to the operations of the LFJ.  Please contact us if you are interested in serving.
    Members in good standing (paid up) are eligible to make nominations to the board above and beyond those listed below and to participate in electing the Executive Committee on April 2.  Members are asked to note the following:
    • Nominations to be received by email, paper or fax no later than March 18, 2020.
    • The Ad-hoc committee of the LFJ will meet prior to the AGM for review nominations and make contact with the nominees before presenting their names to the membership for voting.
    • Nominees should, in addition to contributing relevant skills, qualities and resources*, be willing to obtain/maintain membership in the LFJ and to be able to give 10 hours per month to their role, attend monthly meetings and occasional Board retreats, participate in strategic planning, work on fundraising initiatives and serve on committees.
