Lupus Foundation of Jamaica joins with Jamaicans at home and abroad in extending our heartfelt prayers and well wishes to Dr Gabrielle Henry for a full and speedy recovery.

We had the distinct pleasure of welcoming her as a special guest during Lupus Awareness Month in October, where she played a meaningful role in our campaign. Dr Henry brought warmth, graciousness and consummate professionalism to every engagement. She presented at our Lupus Awareness Month Launch and later joined us at the Laps for Lupus Awareness Lapathon, where she interacted closely with our lupus warriors—listening, encouraging, and showing genuine compassion for their experiences.

As a qualified ophthalmologist who uses her training to serve vulnerable populations, Dr Henry’s dedication to helping others was evident in the sincerity and interest she showed in our work and the lives of persons living with lupus. Her presence made a distinctive impact, uplifting our warriors and bringing greater visibility to an illness that too often remains misunderstood.

We regret the misfortune that has befallen her, and we continue to pray earnestly for her healing, strength, and restoration. We remain confident that she will soon be able to resume her professional calling and continue fulfilling her tremendous potential as a force for good in our society.
